Preparation for the Regular Season
I am excited for the regular season to start so we can get out on the field and play some football!! The offseason has been a great time for us to become better as a team and adjust to all of the changes the organization has seen. We are excited to have our new Defensive Coordinator, Perry Fewell, with us. We have a lot of players coming back from injuries, so our defense is looking very strong and experienced. We have a lot of depth and skill on both sides of the ball.
We are making all the right strides as a team to prepare for our Week 1 opponent, the Carolina Panthers. The preseason games give us a chance to get our team chemistry down. We have played well in our first 3 preseason games against the Jets, Steelers, and Ravens. We have our final preseason game coming up on Thursday vs. the Patriots, a team we always love to beat. It is great to see all of the progress we have made as a team throughout training camp and the preseason.
On defense, we need to work as a unit to force more turnovers this year and give our offense more opportunities to put points on the board. It is important for us to have solid red-zone defense. We will do whatever it takes to help the team win. A major focus we have this year is to get back to playing New York Giant football- strong defense, smart plays, and a lot of excitement. It is great to have Antrel Rolle and our new additions and rookies here to help make our unit even stronger.
The New Meadowlands Stadium is a great place to call home for our football games. The stadium is beautiful and will provide a lot of energy for our team. It is definitely built for New York because it is so big and advanced. The stadium will be a great place to call home and will help the fans get real loud on gameday!
The Panthers game is only a little over a week away! Check back for another update soon!
